Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Every question we have ever received from students and parents — answered straight, with no fluff.

About Kyrgyzstan

Yes. Kyrgyzstan is ranked 78th on the Global Peace Index (2025) and is considered one of the
safer countries in Central Asia. Cities with medical universities — Bishkek, Jalal-Abad, Osh — have
large, well-established Indian student communities. Standard personal safety precautions apply, as
in any city.

Winters can be cold (−5°C to −15°C in Bishkek), which is a genuine adjustment for students from
warmer Indian states. However, all university hostels are centrally heated. Most students adapt
within one semester. Summer temperatures are warm and comfortable (25°C–35°C).

Yes. Most medical university hostels have Indian mess facilities. Grocery stores in all major student
cities stock rice, lentils, and Indian spices. Indian restaurants and cafes are easily found in Bishkek,
Osh, and Jalal-Abad.

About the MBBS Program

The MBBS (MD) program is 5 years of academic study followed by 1 year of mandatory internship — 6 years total. Under the ECTS (European Credit Transfer System), the academic portion is sometimes referred to as 4.8 years in practice.
Yes. All KAC partner universities deliver their international MBBS programs entirely in English. However, learning basic Russian or Kyrgyz is strongly recommended for better clinical practice, as most patients speak Russian or Kyrgyz.
Yes — provided you study at an NMC-listed university (all KAC partner universities are NMC-listed) and you clear the FMGE/NExT licensing examination after graduation. The NMC-recognised degree allows you to appear for the exam. Passing the exam allows you to practise medicine in India.

Fees & Finances

Total cost (tuition + hostel + food + misc) typically ranges from ₹18 to ₹25 Lakh for the full 5-year course — depending on the university and your personal spending. Annual tuition ranges from $3,400 to $6,000 USD depending on the institution. KAC provides a complete, transparent cost breakdown before any commitment.
KAC operates on a strict no-hidden-fees policy. We provide a full cost breakdown — tuition, registration, hostel, meals, visa, insurance, and incidentals — in writing before you pay anything. If a cost is real, we will tell you about it upfront.
Yes. Most nationalised Indian banks (SBI, Bank of Baroda, Punjab National Bank) offer education loans for MBBS abroad. KAC can provide the documentation that banks typically require, including university fee receipts and recognition certificates.

Admission Process

No university entrance exam is required. NEET qualification (as mandated by NMC for all Indian students pursuing MBBS abroad) is the only exam required on the Indian side.
From initial application to receiving your invitation letter typically takes 2–5 business days. Visa processing takes 10–15 days. With KAC’s support, most students complete the full process in under 4 weeks.
Different universities have different minimum NEET score thresholds as set by NMC. Contact KAC to find out which universities are eligible for your specific score. We will not recommend a university that your score does not qualify you for.

Career After Graduation

Yes, but you must clear the FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) — now being replaced by NExT (National Exit Test). Clearing this exam grants you a licence to practise in India. KAC starts FMGE/NExT coaching from Year 1, and over 90% of our students passed the 2022 exam on their first attempt.
Yes. Graduates of NMC-listed, WHO-recognised, FAIMER-listed universities can apply for medical licensing in many countries including the UK (PLAB), USA (USMLE), Canada, Australia, the UAE, and others — subject to each country’s licensing requirements.
Most return to India and sit for NExT/FMGE. Many complete their residency/PG in India (NEET-PG eligible after clearing NExT). Some pursue further specialisation in Europe, the Middle East, or Australia. KAC provides post-graduation guidance as part of our ongoing support.
